On Thursday, 31 July 2025, the Taree Universities Campus (TUC) will once again host CareerQuip, the NSW Mid Coast’s leading careers expo. This flagship event brings together a dynamic mix of education providers, employers, and community organisations to help local residents take the next step in their study or career journey.
For high school students, CareerQuip is a chance to explore future career paths, connect with inspiring mentors, and expand their ambitions. For job seekers, it’s an invaluable opportunity to meet employers and access practical support. And for the broader community, the event showcases the wealth of opportunities available right here on the Mid Coast - proving that you don’t have to leave your region to build a rewarding future.
Attracting over 1,800 attendees and more than 70 exhibitors each year, CareerQuip has grown into a highlight of the region’s annual calendar. With its interactive exhibits and diverse range of presenters, the event offers a hands-on introduction to local careers, training pathways, and tertiary study options. In recognition of its positive impact, CareerQuip received the 2024 Australian Rural Education Award from SPERA – the Society for the Provision of Education in Rural Australia.
This year marks a new chapter in TUC’s partnership with the University of New England (UNE), which has signed on as a major sponsor of CareerQuip 2025. As a founding University Partner of TUC, UNE has long supported students to access higher education without leaving their community. This new sponsorship further cements the link between university study and local career opportunities. You can read more about their partnership in our previous article.
CareerQuip also continues to receive strong support from its founding sponsors: TAFE, MidCoast Connect, the Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program, and Taree Universities Campus.
