Kimberley Gates, a former student of Barossa Regional University Campus, was recently awarded Curtin University’s “Most Outstanding Online Student – Honours” in Interior Architecture. This came from her research project that focused on the mental health needs of regional mothers and addressing these needs through Third Space design.
Kimberly shared that,
“Studying the needs of regional mothers and designing a Third Space to support them has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. I am honoured to receive the Most Outstanding Online Student Honours Award and be recognized for my dedication to this important cause."
She also attributed part of her success to Barossa Campus, and stated that,
“[it] provided the perfect study environment … its peaceful and supportive atmosphere allowed me to focus on my research and excel in my studies. I am truly thankful for the opportunities it provided.”
Her advice for students was,
“Remember that the path to success may not always be easy, but perseverance and support are key. Take breaks, cherish your loved ones, and find solace in the journey itself. You are capable of achieving great things.”
